Congrats! You are engaged! This is an exciting time for you and your newly engaged partner! This is also when everyone starts asking you questions about the wedding! So where do you start? I have made a wedding planning checklist to help you along the way!
12 + Months
Have fun announcing your engagement!
o Chose a date (or up to 3 so you can be flexible).
o Talk budget and decide who’s contributing what.
o Discover your wedding style.
o Choose your wedding party:
Maid of honor, bridesmaids, best man, groomsmen, flower girl and ring bearer.
o Create a wedding website and create a wedding hashtag.
o Get engagement ring insured and consider purchasing wedding insurance.
o Begin compiling a guest list.
o Explore ceremony and reception venue options.
o Start assembling a team of wedding pros: planner & designer (Gianola Events), photographer, videographer, caterer, florist, and musicians.
o Create wedding and style boards on Pinterest. Follow GianolaEventsfor ideas!
o Get discounts! Talk with your Gianola Event Planner to go over discounts they can get for you from photographers, gift box co., etc..
o Get engagement photos taken.
o Start browsing ‘Save the date’ designs and order.

o Follow up with guests who have not RSVP’d
o Give final count to caterer.

o Begin breaking in wedding shoes.
o Make arrangements for the caring of pets and plants while on honeymoon.
o Send playlists to DJ/band/ceremony musicians.
o Get final haircut and color
o Delegate wedding day duties: gift table, guestbook, etc.
o Delegate someone to return tuxes, rentals and tend to wedding dress.
o Send directions to wedding day limo/transportation driver.

o Prepare final payments to vendors.
o Give readers their scripts.
o Give photographer and videographer your image and video requests.
o Layout wedding clothes.
o Prepare wedding day emergency kit.
o Get spa treatments for you and the bridal party.
The Day Before
can you believe it?!
o Deliver welcome baskets to hotel.
o Get mani/pedi/massage.
o Attend wedding rehearsal.
o Have fun at the rehearsal dinner.
o Bring wedding items (favors, table décor, etc.) to give to your wedding planner
o Get to bed at a decent hour.
CONGRATULATIONS! enjoy your day!
o Eat a good breakfast! Allow yourself plenty of time to get ready.
o Give wedding rings to best man.
o Give envelopes to wedding planner that hold tips for vendors.
o Relax, smile and soak in every incredible moment!
o Make sure you take 5 minutes for you both after the ceremony and have a private special moment that you will remember forever.
Beyond the Wedding
wrapping things up…
o Ensure tuxes and rentals have been returned
o Get wedding dress cleaned and preserved.
o Create wedding album.
o Pick up marriage license!
